Kia ora and hello,

Carol Barnett here, a newly minted real estate agent with Haze Real Estate, keen and eager and ready to hit the ground running. I may have just attained my real estate license, but I have a vast range of life experiences to draw upon as I enter this exciting sector.

So who am I and what is important to me?

My background?

Three decades in the Government public service taught me how to be a servant leader and the importance of data driven decision making along with heart. Without heart you only have part of the picture as heart drives your purpose. I am also proud of the achievements and investment I bought to the region over the last decade, all while supporting the Kaupapa of the community.

Voluntary work in the education sector – making a difference for the next generation. I work alongside principals and their teams to help them think strategically with strong leadership to give your taitamariki options.

Local - I’ve lived in Taitokerau Northland raising my family for over 25 years, the last 20 in Whangarei developing a bare lifestyle block into a sub-tropical paradise that feeds and shelters us all year round.

Drawing on my broad life experience, I have lived overseas in totally different cultures with very different beliefs giving me broad perspectives across different lifestyles and values systems. This has taught me a lot about myself as well as others. I have learned to value other’s opinions and ideas without judgement.
